Sound: The sound of downbeat could be enything allthough
many downbeats has a sleepy mood, because they are
heard by people who want to relax.
Instruments: Enything.
Beats: Slow beats at 70-120 bpm, with either breakbeats
or slow techno rythmes.
Subgenres:
-Ambient:is a kind of music witch dosent try to
get the listeners attention; there is no messages
to understand, there is no complicated themes to
listen to; ambient is just music who is there and
yet is no where. Ambient has a sleepy and smooth
mood; sometimes there a beat but that is not
necesary in ambient. The important thing is the
instruments witch often is long synth strings,
sweeps and other soft instruments, witch is
accompanied by smooth noises sampled from nature
or other places. Ambient is a style witch dates
all the way back to the early 50'ties, where
the first tracks was made with taperecorded
sounds from early synthesisers and nature sounds.

for all kinds of slow, smooth and sleepy music
witch people play to relax. At big parties theres
often a room reserved to this kind of music, where
people can sit and relax. This room is allso
called a chill out room.
-Abstract beats: Sofisticated breakbeats and techno
played in the chill out room.
-New age: Is a kind of ambient, but it sound less
electronic and has no beat. New age is often
used as meditation music.
